The Moos Are In! Plus a Portable Portfolio!
Jesse came wheeling in from walking the dog with a sweet ‘lil package just for me…MOO CARDS!!
And they are fab, darlings. Two hundred pieces of tiny art work. It makes me happy just thinking about it.
I chose 25 images showcasing my best work and covering the areas of portraits, pets, flowers, and landscapes/travel photos. Here is what I designed for the back:

I hope you're not offended that I blurred out my phone number!
Luckily, I also stopped by the lovely, but oh-so-expensive Paper Source today to pick up a few items for my portable portfolio project. The idea is to have a purse-sized gallery of images ready to show potential clients or anyone who’s not smart enough to avoid the subject of photography. Or to sit next to me on a bench.
Here is what I came up with:

I chose a beautiful mango colored Kolo Vineyard album. I l-o-v-e, LOVE these albums for their simplistic design, beautiful colors, and ultra high quality materials. All acid and lignin free, they are archival quality and worth every penny (this one was only $7.95).

I also got a blank round stamp (for an absurd six bucks!) and a fuchsia ink pad. Besides being cheerful and coordinated, I’ve been using pinks and oranges as my main colors, even though I’ve got the whole rainbow in my logo. I’m really working on carrying my “image” and color scheme throughout everything I do. I also thought of stamping my name in the middle, but settled on the simple circle- again, to mimic the geometric and clean qualities of my header.

Inside of the album are lovely, creamy pages of the perfect weight. My album measures approximately 7″x5″ and has 12 pages, which is just right for a selection of 4″x6″ prints or, in my case, 24 Moo Cards. I thought having this image as the opener was just right for this project. Every time I open it and see it, I’ll remember to SOAR! I decided to use the Kolo photo corners in cream/white instead of applying adhesive to the backs of my cards because I’d like to get as much use out of this as possible. Not only can I take the undamaged cards out of the album to give away (which would be great in a pinch), but I can also swap them out for newer, updated images to keep the album fresh.

I then laid out the cards by subject and placed them in the album, mostly two per page. Here’s what the rest look like:

The other good news is that the lucky winners of my contest will soon be receiving their very own Moo Cards from me! One worth 15% off their first order and one from my new batch. So Stephanie, Charisse, and Rhonda can expect a special something in the mail shortly (and don’t forget to send me your addresses if you haven’t already!!).

Oooh! The card back looks awesome and the cards themselves are divine. What an awesome idea for a mini-portfolio. LOVE IT!!

Oh MEGHAN! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it. You did such a wonderful job and what a GREAT idea! I think having something tangible like that is a very good thought.
